Voilà, je reviens de vacances. Majorque est une île incroyable surtout quand on est accompagné par les personnes les plus gentilles et cools du monde. Paris c'est toujours aussi bien, la meilleure ville du monde j'en suis persuadé.

Finalement, je ne pars pas à New York j'ai eu un problème de Visa avec Digitas NYC - sur lequel je n'ai pas vraiment envie de m'étendre. Je pars donc chez Digitas Londres pour au moins 6 mois. A vrai dire je ne connais pas très bien Londres, j'y suis allé deux fois dans ma vie et je n'ai jamais ressenti un amour démesuré pour cette ville, probablement parce que je n'y ai pas véritablement vécu, puisque j'y ai juste passé quelques jours, voire quelques heures. Donc si vous avez des plans, n'hésitez pas à me balancer ça en commentaire : salles de concerts, clubs, galeries, librairies, restos etc.

Le Celsa a enfin accepté ma candidature en D.U. Vendredi dernier, je suis enfin libre de partir. Plus que quelques trucs à régler avec les banques et mes proprios qui n'ont toujours pas reçu ma caution, versée pourtant hier. Enfin passons...

Je voulais juste dire que l'un de mes spots de pubs préférés de l'année dernière a été récompensé aux Emmy Awards bien qu'il n'ait jamais été diffusé à la télé.

Ensuite le PSG a gagné 1-0 contre Nantes, c'est donc plutôt cool, ils sont troisièmes ce qui est étonnant. Giuly est en home de Dailymotion.

Enfin, Godard signe le trailer du festival du film de Vienne. Ca tue. Hypnotique JLG Cisorhands.

Il y a une semaine j'ai entendu parler pour la première fois de ma vie de Philippe Muray. Une sorte d'écrivain contemporain décédé il y a peu, célèbre pour sa haine du genre humain, haine si chère à Céline...

J'ai encore rien lu de lui, donc je ne dirai rien de précis sur ce mec. J'ai écouté quelques interviews sur Dailymotion de l'écrivain, assez déprimantes, faut-il l'avouer.

Enfin c'était juste pour dire que pour savoir si un écrivain est légèrement fascisant, nazillon, antisémite, il suffit de taper son nom sur Dailymotion, si l'utilisateur "prince_de_condé" possède des documents ayant rapport avec l'écrivain recherché, alors oui, on peut en déduire que cet écrivain pue le vice. Notons que l'utilisateur "Astérix_le_caucasien" semble être un proche idéologiquement du prince de condé. Remercions donc ces deux utilisateurs pour nous éclaircir.

Hier après avoir déménagé tous ensemble en moins de deux heures. Après avoir déjeuné dans la cour paradisiaque d'Antoine, on est allé au festival Paris Plages voir Rubin Steiner.

Rubin Steiner c'est un groupe tourangeau qui a sur rendre fier les jeunes issus de de cette contrée. Par exemple Baptiste, Mathieu et Valentin considèrent Rubin Steiner comme le groupe qui les aura le plus influencés pendant leur jeunesse. Baptiste ira même jusqu'à dire "Rubin Steiner c'est le LCD Soundsystem français"...

On notera que ce concert était quand même plus cool que ce qu'on avait pu voir au Printemps de Bourges il y a trois ans. Comme on dit c'était un peu plus péchu bien que les membres n'étaient que trois sur cinq je crois.

Effectivement Rubin Steiner a une sacrée allure de DFA-like avec un côté breton à la Tepr/Grand Marnier - influence bretonne en Touraine. Avec mon nouvel appareil j'ai pu faire une vidéo cool. Je vous laisse regarder.

Sinon, Céline Corbineau est vraiment cool.

J'ai trouvé mon site de la semaine. C'est Medici.tv, un site de VOD de musique classique. J'ai pu regarder pendant 30 minutes l'Opéra Zaïde de Mozart qui est passé il y a à peine deux semaines au festival d'Aix en Provence.

En ce moment je me fais un peu chier au taff. Alors que je pourrais bâcler un bulletin de tendances en trois jours, ça fait bien une semaine et demi que je suis dessus. Bon passons, donc mes journées se ressemblent : flux rss + dl mp3s + taff + bouffe + flux rss + taff... Tout cela ponctué par Gtalk ou MSN ou encore Facebook.

Aujourd'hui j'ai dû passer une bonne demi-heure sur un site réalisé par Proximity BBDO pour la marque Longboard, ça s'appelle Trop beau pour pécho. Déjà le nom tue. Pour une fois que les CR/DA sont pas à coté de la plaque, du genre "SHAKE TON MOBILE" (sic un DA de ma boîte), on peut les féliciter. Ensuite le concept est cool.
T'es tellement beau avec tes fringues Longboard - classic shit vous me direz - que ça t'est devenu impossible de pécho. Alors le site te propose un service de Delooking.
Ce site est l'encyclopédie de la loose. A voir absolument. Un avant goût :

Raphaël Siboni & Fabien Giraud au Palais de Tokyo

Je vais écrire en Français parce que j'ai la flemme en fait. Comme quoi ma lubie anglophone n'aura duré que quelques minutes.

Hier je suis donc allé au Palais de Tokyo avec Chloé & Antoine voir l'exposition "Superdome". Chloé nous a d'ailleurs fait remarquer que nous n'avions pas raté une seule exposition du musée en deux ans - ce qui m'a plutôt étonné vu la quantité de sombres merdes que j'ai pu apprécier dans ce temple de la branchitude.
Il y avait deux trois trucs pas mal : un éléphant qui tient à la verticale sur sa trompe - à noter d'ailleurs que le propos de l'artiste faisait montre d'une vacuité, "blablabla l'équilipre improblable, blablabla BULLSHIT" ; une montagne d'ordures recouvrant une maison à laquelle on pouvait accéder en rentrant dans un conduit d'aération gigantesque - on n'a pas pu y accéder il faut prendre rendez vous pour que des pompiers vous accompagnent ; et surtout on a vu l'oeuvre de François Giraud et Raphaël Siboni, Last Manoeuvres in the Dark. Mise en scène d'une armée grandiose de Dark Vadors signifiés par leurs uniques casques symboles du "vilain" par excellence. Franchement, c'était vraiment pas mal. A la lecture du bullshitage des "médiateurs" du Palais de Tokyo j'ai appris que ces Raphaël Siboni avait créé une oeuvre vidéo "Kant Tuning Club". Je sais pas où je peux pécho ce truc ni où je peux encore le voir, mais je suis assez curieux de savoir ce que ça a donné.

Après on a pris le 72 on est retourné vers chez moi et on a pique niqué Place des Vosges. Finalement Antoine et moi accompagné de Valentin et Cyril sommes allés voir Kung Fu Panda qui s'est avéré être un film par fait pour les hypertendus de mon espèce.

Ah oui aussi, si vous vous demandez pourquoi tous les articles sont écrits en anglais, c'est simplement parce que c'était mon blog de cours d'Anglais au Celsa.

Becoming famous on the Internet : example of Sauce Blanche Crew

To answer to this issue I would like to tell you the story of my little band and association called Sauce Blanche. You can find our board there and our blog here. Sauce Blanche is both an association to promote cultural goods such as music, arts etc. and a bunch of guys making music, painting, video...
Our crew has been created more than two years ago. At the beginning it was only a podcast. But we did everything to promote it. Actually we created a podcast, a myspace, we "spam" many boards, mails, blogs, websites and myspace accounts to become a famous podcast. Plus we decided to update every month the music track to bring novelty. Today Sauce Blanche podcast is listened by more than 7000 people every month frome everywhere in the world : Philadelphia, New York, Paris, Japan, Mahgreb etc. I think we can say now we are pretty famous on the Internet thanks to that podcast.

One year ago, Valentin and Mathieu, two members of Sauce Blanche, decided to write music for Christmas Eve, that's why we conclude to promote their music through a classic Myspace Music account and a Virb account. That was the first step to introduce our works. Thanks to our Myspace we have met several foreign bands, coming from London, New York City and L.A. The first one did a remix of the track "Seul le ciel peut test", New York City band splitted and I don't know what they are becoming, and the artist of L.A. is currently working on a classic song remix of "Seul le ciel peut test"...

Moreover, we are preparing a mixtape for Erwan Kezzar a.k.a. and a mini CD of Electro-Pop Music. It is supposed to come out this spring.

Because of our pretty fame we succeeded in deejaying for parties. That was dope.

We try to develop our blog by using french digg-like such as Scoopeo, Fuzz, and web promotion features (sitemap, robots etc.). Everyday more than one hundred unique visitors head on our articles and read them. So Sauce Blanche is spreading all over the world, our works are beaming the entire planet earth...

Baptiste, - one member of Sauce Blanche - is currently exposing his works made with Paint in a very hype and luxuous hotel called the Hotel Kube, he became famous thanks to his paint blog and the magazine Technikart choose him as the artist of the month.

So as you see, it seems obvious : you can become famous on the Internet if you know how to use the promotions features and if you work hard on it.

A young girl who posted her videos where she sang music hits, has been signed by Justin Timberlake to his label. This girl epitomises this current trend.

A week ago, Bob asks us how to learn English online ?
After many researches I found several websites that are really useful if you aim to learn English.
The 1st one has been created by the BBC. The website is structured according to few principles : you can watch the news in English, you can train yourself by answering to quizzes and tests, take grammar and vocabulary lessons. Plus there is a sort of serial story called "The Flatmates", every week there is a new episode.
Besides this BBC service enables you to upgrade your professional english skill through two interestings sections. The section "Communicate" is a perfect example of e-culture : English learners can create their own blogs, you can sign up to the newsletter etc.
The section Business is easy-to-use : you could learn useful language and practical tips for getting a job, advices on working in a different culture from those who know etc.
To conclude, this website created by the famous BBC channel is a real success.

I found another website which could be very useful, for us, french learners. It's called Anglais Facile. There is a week lesson you can receive by mail. You have exams, grammar lessons, invidualised help thanks to the board.

According to me it's pretty easy to find lessons and helps on the Internet. Besides it's necessary to read English to upgrade your skill at this language. That's why the best way to become good at English is probably reading articles and articles on the Internet written in English.

PS: It's weird I didn't find good lessons on Youtube or Dailymotion...

A new website called Non Fiction has been opened last monday. The claim of the website could be summarized by that expression "A portal of books and ideas" . It's a website of news, ideas, and books reviews. The website has been created by researchers, journalists, activists, unionists, webmasters and entrepreneurs. This website aims to tie again with an intellectual journalism of quality, to allow to a new generation of researchers to speak. Their goal is simple but brave, they want to modernize progressists political ideas by reviewing and giving value to books of social sciences and to open the french ideas to the international.

This year we should write a memoir, a sort of essay about the media or new media. At the beginning I didn't what kind of topic I could take. But finally I have found one, which comes from the bottom of my heart. I would like to speak about Vice Magazine. Probably you don't know what's Vice mag... That's why I am going to introduce it to you, dear readers.

"Vice is a free glossy magazine founded in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and currently based in New York City that covers contemporary independent arts and youth culture. The magazine's readership comprises young postcollegiate bohemians, often labelled "hipsters" Known for its controversial content, it often strikes a sardonic and ironic pose on debauchery, sex, drugs, violence, and social issues involving race and economic class."

I quote it from Wikipedia. According to me, this topic is interesting because nobody wrote anything on Vice Mag although it's a free magazine which is beaming around the world.

Actually I would like to work on the image of the "hip" guy or the trendy/faddy guy in the press. Vice seems to have built a sort of globalized image of the hipsters.

Now I have got my early question, I am trying to create a bibliography about the fads and the hipsters... And I should meet the CEO of Vice Mag France too and some sociologists.
